TECHNICIANS
Set in the near future, Technicians follows David (J. Alphonse Nicholson), a jaded automation technician struggling with financial issues and caring for his sick, elderly mother. Desperate for money, he takes an overnight job installing automated manicure stations at a nail salon. There, he meets Tippi (Cathy Bui), a young Vietnamese American nail technician whose job he is there to replace. Tippi, deeply passionate about her job and the livelihood of her coworkers, pleads with David to reconsider, forcing him to choose between his own financial needs and the well being of others.
