Lindsay Armstrong is a Los Angeles based film and television editor. With a background in music, dance, and theater, she brings a natural sense of rhythm and emotional intuition to her work. She studied Psychology, Music, and Media Arts at the University of Arizona before earning her MFA in Film and Television Production at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, where she quickly fell in love with editing.
Following her graduation from USC, Lindsay moved to the Bay Area and worked as an Assistant Editor at Pixar Animation Studios. She is proud to have been on the editorial teams behind Finding Dory and Onward.
As an editor, Lindsay has cut a variety of projects, including Thembi Banks's feature film directorial debut, Young. Wild. Free., which premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival and is now streaming on BET+, Blumhouse's feature film Soft & Quiet, which premiered in competition at the 2022 SXSW Film Festival, Amazon's series The Summer I Turned Pretty, and Netflix's series XO, Kitty.
She is a member of the Motion Picture Editor's Guild's Women’s Steering Committee, and was a 2021-2023 mentee in the ACE Diversity In Editing Mentorship Program.
Aside from editing, Lindsay loves swimming, yoga, dancing, reading, and watching live music & theater.
